The 8ch CWDM Mux Demux is a high density, scalable, low loss passive device based on Free-Space technology. With modular design, it can be combined with CWDM/DWDM modules, OADMs and MTP cassettes in 1U FHD enclosures to save data center cabinet space.

I wanted to know if I can use a dual-fiber cwdm mux/demux in a single-fiber manner for a while or just for some lambdas. Example: 1490tx/1470rx on a fiber. this is because we are migrating from a bidi system on one fiber to one with two fibers, but for a while we will need to be able to use pairs of lambde as they were on a fiber on the new 2 fiber system)

You can use a dual-fiber CWDM Mux/Demux as a single fiber Mux/Demux with a single fiber. There are a few changes as the transmission directions of dual-fiber and single-fiber are different. So you should pay more attention to the transmission direction, in the diagram, there will be two signals: 1470nm and 1490nm, the signal transmission direction should be as the arrow in the figure. TX of 1470nm SFP--->RX of Mux 1470nm port--->TX of line port--->RX of line port--->TX of Mux 1470nm port--->RX of 1490nm SFP RX of 1470nm SFP<---RX of Mux 1490nm port<---TX of line port<---RX of line port<---TX of Mux 1490nm port<---TX of 1490nm SFP
