9 Channels CWDM Mux Demux, 1290-1610nm, 2.4dB Typical IL, LC/UPC, Single Fiber, Side-B, FMU Plug-in Module

The 9CH Mux Demux, based on Free Space technology, is a passive CWDM device featuring high density, low loss, and long-haul transmission suitability. This unit can be used as either a multiplexer or de-multiplexer (Mux/Demux). It combines 9-channel of CWDM wavelengths into a composite signal and separates the combined CWDM signal into 9-channel individual wavelengths over a single-mode optical fiber. In accordance with the ITU-T G.694.2, it maximizes the capacity of the C-band range. Designed for maximum configuration flexibility, the CWDM Mux Demux can plug directly into the FMU chassis, each module occupying one slot. Moreover, because single fiber Mux/Demux is always used in pairs, this device needs to be used in conjunction with the FMU-MC09A.

It supports 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 16/8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel, FTTx and CATV. When deployed with FS CWDM optical transceivers, OEO and OADM modules, it seamlessly enables flexible network architectures ranging from simple point-to-point connections to amplified ring configurations.

Features
Diversified Ports for 9 Channels CWDM Mux Demux

The 1290nm-1610nm channel port for ITU grid CWDM traffic. Line port for multiplexed signal transmission.

Efficient and Economical Single-fiber Solution

Single-fiber bidirectional Mux Demux enables bidirectional simultaneous transmission of optical signals over a single fiber. Compared with dual-fiber bidirectional transmission, it significantly saves fiber resources. In addition, the signals transmitted in both directions simultaneously do not interact, which reduces the FWM (four-wave mixing) effect and thus reduces signal distortion.

Mix of Services Multiplexing at Any Rate
Flexible mix of 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 16/8/4/2/1G FC, FTTx and CATV, it's transparent to any rate, any service multiplexing and upgrade.

Expansion via the 1550 nm Port

By using 1550nm CWDM channels, it becomes possible to transmit multiple DWDM channels within a single CWDM channel, providing a solution that is both cost-effective and easily expandable.

Higher Density Design to Meet Diversified Needs

The high-density FMU chassis supports flexible configurations with full capacity for 2 DWDM Mux Demux, CWDM Mux Demux or LWDM Mux Demux modules with different channels in FMU packages. This design meets diverse network requirements while ensuring reliable wavelength multiplexing in a space-optimized solution.

CWDM Point-to-point Access Networking Solution

CWDM is suitable for ISPs, carriers, enterprises and other scenarios. Through CWDM technology, multiple wavelengths are multiplexed on a single fiber to achieve high-speed, high-capacity data transmission between sites, significantly saving fiber resources and reducing deployment costs.
