This dual-port 40Gb network interface card (NIC) is optimized on Intel XL710-BM2 controller for server connectivity and network virtualization. By supporting a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface, this adapter provides sufficient bandwidth for line rate traffic on dual 40Gb ports.

This was a swap out with another Intel nic in the same family running CentOS and nothing was necessary for the swithout.

Using HPE optics, I was able to connect this R640 server straight an QSPF+ expansion port on an Aruba 3810. Outstanding card and FS has been very helpful.
