Layer Type
1+1 Hot-Swappable Power Supplies and 3+1 Smart Fans

The dual power supplies can be replaced without shutting down the system, and the variable-speed fans with front-to-back airflow automatically adjust fan speed to reduce power draw.

MLAG Realizes Uninterrupted Services

The switch running MLAG can be upgraded without disrupting MLAG traffic. During the upgrade, another switch in the system takes over traffic forwarding to ensure uninterrupted services.

Support IPv4/IPv6 Dual-Stack to Run IPv4 and IPv6 in Parallel

Dual-stack allows the current hybrid environment encompassing both IPv4 and IPv6, as well as the future migration to IPv6.

Comprehensive Security Policy Protects from Network Threats

With network-level security and stability capabilities like SSH, ACL, AAA, etc., it defends against network threats for enterprises, campus and financial industry.

Flexible Management and Operation
Users can configure, monitor and troubleshoot the device in real-time without having CLI expertise.
Easy of management: Web, CLI, Telnet, SSH

Q:

What is the main role of the MPLS function? 2. May I ask which switches of the FS support the MPLS function.

by B***e on 03/15/2020

A:

1. Multi-Protocol Label Switching is a new technology that uses labels to guide high-speed and efficient transmission of data on an open communication network. The meaning of multi-protocol means that MPLS can not only support multiple protocols at the network layer level, but also be compatible with multiple data link layer technologies of the layer. 2. FS S5850 series switches support MPLS. If you need L3 VPN, you have to update to version 7.2.1 or above, and buy the license.

I wanted to run 4 40Gb cables from one switch S8050-20Q4C to the other S5850-48T4Q creating a single 160Gb communication link between the two switches. To activate in the menu of each switch to make this connection, I've configured LACP between the two via Web, it was not difficult to find the configuration guide from their website. The FS GUI is easy to use and for the CLI users out there, the option still exists.
