This design allows one cable to carry two fibers, reducing cable congestion during routing, and combines modularity, flexibility, and ease of insertion and removal from connectivity. The bend insensitive fiber features ultrabendable performance, which can greatly reduce outages and degradations in systems caused by severe bending problems.
