24 Fibers MTP® to MTP® Interconnect Conversion Harness Cable

MTP® conversion cable is designed to provide a more flexible multi-fiber cabling system based on MTP® products. Unlike MTP® harness cable, MTP® conversion cables are terminated with MTP® connectors on both ends and can provide more possibilities for the existing 24-fiber cabling system.

The 40/100G MTP® conversion cables eliminate the wasted fibers in current 40G transmission and upcoming 100G transmission. Compared to purchase and install separate conversion cassettes, using MTP® conversion cables is a more cost-effective and lower-loss option.

I was looking for some customized MTP conversion cables that could be deployed for our project. I viewed the relevant products on FS without hesitation. After double-checking with my account manager, I chose the 3*MTP-8 to 2*MTP-12 type with LSZH bunch jackets eventually. In order to realize the 10G-40G connections that we planned, we plugged 8-fiber MTP connectors into our 40G QSFP+ transceivers on the Cisco switch and terminated the 12-fiber ends with 2x12-MTP to 12x duplex LC cassettes. The conversion from 40G signals to 10G signals has been realized smoothly, flawlessly connectivity, which has perfectly met our demands.

The limited space had always been the biggest concern for our multi-fiber cabling system. I once considered installing separate conversion cassettes, but turning to MTP conversion cables seemed to be a more cost-effective option. Thus I purchased several 24-fiber MTP conversion cables here. These high-performance cables with great resilience worked perfectly for our 100G-40G connection. More importantly, adopting these high-density MTP conversion cables is not only space-saving but also convenient for better cable management.
