High Quality and Cost-effective 50/125μm OM5 Wideband Multimode Bend Insensitive Fiber Optic Cable

OM5 wideband multimode bend insensitive fiber optimized for multi-wavelengths transmission systems operating in the range of 850-950nm, enabling optimal support of emerging Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) applications that reduce parallel fiber count by at least a factor of four to allow continued use of just two fibers (rather than eight) for transmitting 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s and reduced fiber counts for higher speeds.

OM5 meets TIA-492AAAE and draft IEC 60793-2-10 A1a.4 requirements while completely backward compatible with existing OM4 networks and applications. It meets RoHS compliant and the fiber patch cord is optically tested for insertion loss to ensure high quality.

I could find only UPC and APC connectors on your website. Do you have any other cable which has PC connector? By H***n on 11/12/2020

The PC connector has been replaced by the UPC connector. UPC is an improvement of the PC fiber connector with a better surface finish after an extended polishing and the optical return loss is higher than PC structure. These cables are brilliant. They are well designed. We have to bend the fiber cables in our cabling distribution, but we do not need to worry about the performance loss. They are bend-insensitive! I have to say, these cables perform great. Our bandwidth has been significantly increased.

We are now planning to upgrade to 100G networks using 100G SWDM4 QSFP28 transceiver. This OM5 cable is preferred by us. We find the signal loss is really low. The speed can reach nearly 100Gbps. That fits our high-speed fiber cabling system quite well.
