10GBASE-SR compatible SFP+ transceiver supports up to 400m link lengths over OM4 MMF (300m over OM3 MMF) via an LC duplex connector. Digital diagnostics monitoring is available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472. I was skeptical of trying an FS transceiver, but for the price I thought why not? Bought 2 of them and an OM4 MM LC Fiber Patch cable for testing. I plugged the setup into our Cisco WS-C3850-12XS and QNAP QXG-10G2SF-CX4 adapter and to my surprise it worked with no additional modifications on the Cisco side. Easy, cheap upgrade from my 1GbE copper connection to 10GbE Fiber in a matter of seconds. Thanks for the functional product at a reasonable price.
