I know there are some people who are hesitant to use copper products like this but, it works just fine. I put this in my FS 3900 switch to another one, and it worked flawlessly. It is SHORT since my two switches are close to each other on my rack. There is no difference on the performance of DAC solution and the fiber cable plus transceivers, and the DAC cable was priced very competitively. All in all, I am extremely happy with this purchase and will consider buying from now on as needed for any projects.

I need DAC cables for connecting my two Catalyst 4500X and I made an order of another passive one without noticing I made a mistake. Actually, Catalyst 4500X only supports the active DAC. Luckily, my account manager checked my ordered products with me and changed to this active one. They are very solid and just work great with my switches. Will buy more from here.
