Generic Compatible 100GBASE-FR QSFP28 Optical Transceiver Module (Single Lambda, SMF, 1330nm, 2km, LC, DOM)

The 100GBASE-FR Single Lambda QSFP28 Optical Transceiver Module is designed for use in 100GBASE Ethernet throughput up to 2km over single mode fiber (SMF) using a wavelength of 1330nm via duplex LC connectors. This transceiver is compliant with QSFP28 MSA, IEEE 802.3cu and 100G Lambda MSA standard. Digital diagnostics functions are also available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP28 MSA, to allow access to real-time operating parameters. With these features, this easy to install, hot swappable transceiver is suitable to be used in various applications, such as Data Center, 100G Ethernet.
Note: The FS P/N is changed from Q28-FR-100G-33 to QSFP-FR-100G-33, but the product is the same. Only the FS P/N has been changed.

We hesitated quite a while before choosing it because their 100G-CWDM4/PLR4L transceivers are also within our consideration. But finally, we decided this single lambda type after careful thinking for efficiency and cost for the long term. In truth, all advantages come from the PAM4 modulation. The total costs are reduced as it only uses one transmitter and receiver. Wait to see more benefits in the future.
