Q:

Fairly simple, a 500m Single Mode run into another building. In 6 months it will be replaced by a slightly, longer run up to 800m. We'd like to split into 8 x 10G. These will be aggregated into 2 LAGs (4 x 10G). Should we leave an empty channel between each?

by J***e on 10/29/2021

A:

There is no need to leave an empty channel, you can directly use the 8 wavelengths of 18CH CWDM 1270~1410nm for transmission.

Q:

Can 1310nm port be added to this CWDM MUX DEMUX.

by D***s on 08/06/2021

A:

No, the max channel of CWDM Mux Demux is 18 channels. It cannot add any additional port or wavelength. To add an additional 1310nm port of other CWDM Mux Demux, it should avoid 1270nm, 1290nm, 1310nm, 1330nm, 1350nm channels.

Q:

Can expansion port be added to this 18ch CWDM Mux Demux ?

by U***e on 07/28/2021

A:

No, the channel amount of this CWDM Mux Demux is already full and cannot be further expanded, so EXP port cannot be added, said my account manager.

Q:

Can these be deployed using a single common fiber between them instead of two by using one channel for TX and another for RX? (so only usable for 9 links instead of 18)

by D***n on 07/21/2021

A:

Hi Drew, Please rest assured that your request can be achieved, but it can only transmit 9 channels. Here suggest that you can use 9CH single fiber CWDM MUX/DEMUX : 9 Channels 1270-1590nm, LC/UPC, Single Fiber, Low Insertion Loss CWDM Mux Demux, Side-A, FMU Plug-in Module #43711 9 Channels 1290-1610nm, LC/UPC, Single Fiber, Low Insertion Loss CWDM Mux Demux, Side-B, FMU Plug-in Module #43699 Please feel free to contact us if there are any further questions.
