DAC and AOC: Link Length 1-30 m

DAC and AOC are used for server to switch, storage to switch and switch to switch connection. DACs are for in-the-rack connectivity for link length less than 5 m, whereas AOCs can stretch the reach up to 30 m.

DACs and AOCs in FS are available with various lengths and compatible with the major brands like Cisco, HPE and Arista. Each end of the cable can be made with different compatible brands.

100GBASE-SR4/PSM4: Link Length 30-500 m

To connect equipment over 30 m where both DACs and AOCs fail to reach, 100GBASE-SR4 and PSM4 optic modules are ready to assist. SR4 can reach up to 100 m with 12-fiber MTP cable, while PSM4 extends the reach to 500 m

100GBASE-CWDM4/ LR4/ER4: 2-40km

100GBASE CWDM4 is designed for link no more than 2 km, and LR4 is suggested for connections range from 2 km-10 km. The 100G-ER4 makes a great leap and further extends the reach up to 40 km.
