Fiber optic splice tray installation and routing

FHD Fiber Splice Tray Installation and Routing

FS Official Sep 19, 2018

In fiber optic networking, fiber optic splicing is a commonly used method to fuse two fibers together in order to ensure the continuation of light transmission or to extend the fiber optic cable length. And fiber optic splice tray is an essential tool in fiber optic splicing, which can protect the fiber optic splices from damage and leave enough amount of fiber counts and lengths for future installation. This video shows the details of the 24-fiber splice tray and its installation into our FHD rack mount fiber enclosures.

FS 24 fibers optical splice tray is designed for use with FHD series interconnection hardware and fiber enclosures. It can house and protect fiber optic splices. The attached spools and slacks guarantee proper fiber cable management and bend radius of the fiber optic cable. Also the fiber splice holder and the transparent cover allow for clear labeling and logical organization of the fiber optic splices. Each splice tray is designed to hold 24 heat shrink single fiber splice sleeves of fusion splicing or mechanical splicing. With the side latches, the 24 fibers splice trays can be stacked together to serve networks that have a larger number of fibers and higher bandwidth.
