Does S5860-20SQ have a dedicated stacking cable? I’d like to be able to stack these switches. What do I need to do this? Since I will likely never use the 40GB ports, can those be used?

  • Nope, you don't need to use dedicated stacking cables for stacking. This switch can be stacked with the SAME MODEL S5860-20SQ switch or mixed stack with the SAME SERIES S5860-24XB-U switch via transceivers or DAC/AOC cables. If you won't use 40G ports, you can choose the 20x 10G or 4x25G ports to set the stacking system. Because the switch can support 2 units of physical stacking, so it will achieve up to 200G stacking bandwidth by stacking.By FS.COM on 02/06/2021
