First time ordering MTP conversion harness cables from fs.com. We plan to use MTP cables for a particle physics experiment that needs 1000 fibers over 60m with fan-out parts. We will control and read out via fiber optics. At first, I placed an order on my own. Soon they sent me an email to check the information to make sure everything is OK. After confirming my concrete application for their technician, I took their advice and ordered another customized version—3 MTP-8 to MTP-24, planning to take the 24 strands from our MDF and separate them to IDFs. I was looking for some customized MTP conversion cables that could be deployed for our project. I viewed the relevant products on FS without hesitation. In order to realize the 10G-40G connections that we planned, we plugged 8-fiber MTP connectors into our 40G QSFP+ transceivers on the Cisco switch and terminated the 12-fiber ends with 2x12-MTP to 12x duplex LC cassettes. The conversion from 40G signals to 10G signals has been realized smoothly, flawlessly connectivity, which has perfectly met our demands.
