Highlights of GR-Series Network & Server Cabinet

Smarter Airflow Management

The cooling efficiency of data center still troubles many users and the cooling cost continues increasing. To help solve the problem, FS GR-Series cabinet provides smarter airflow management. With perforated front and rear doors of the cabinet, massive ventilation can be provided for server and networking equipment. What's more, its front door has a curved profile, which offers greater surface area and allows higher perforation rating. In addition, the top panel can be removed without tools in seconds. This design can sustain proper hot aisle or cold aisle flow.

Easy Installation & Maintenance

FS GR-Series cabinet offers easier installation and maintenance services. Its top panel has generous cable access holes, which are convenient for overhead cabling access. And its the side panels are locking removable that also improves the ease of installation. Moreover, the split rear doors are easily removable and can reduce the clearance required to open themselves completely.

As for the front and rear sets of mounting rails, they are adjustable in half-inch (12.5mm) increments with the easy-view depth index. This still helps install the cabinet. In addition, at the bottom of the cabinet, the removable casters and leveling feet are pre-installed. The designs enable cabinet roll to the final installation location and adjust and level it on uneven surfaces.

Security

FS 42U GR-Series cabinet utilizes quick-release ground wires to guarantee the entire cabinet is fully bonded. This grounding system can protect people and device. What’s more, this cabinet can be locked, which might avoid visitors or other unauthorized people accessing the equipment.

High Static Load Rating

With the increasing number of devices are added to the data center, the cabinet should have enough weight capacity. FS GR-Series cabinet supports up to 3307lbs (1500kg) static load and 2205lbs (1000kg) rolling load. This robust design is able to accommodate high-density cabling system.

What’s the Difference Between 42U GR600-Series Cabinet and GR800-Series Cabinet?

Various cabinets are produced to meet different applications. Well, the proper cabinet that matches your needs best can help you maximize the work efficiency. FS 42U GR600-series server cabinet and 42U GR800-series network & server cabinet bear a lot of similarities. But they still differ in some aspects. Here are some differences between them for you to consider.

Unit Dimensions (HxWxD) - For the unit dimensions, GR600-series server cabinet is 80.2''x23.6''x46.0'' (2038x600x1170mm) while GR800-series network & server cabinet is 80.2''x31.5''x46.0'' (2038x800x1170mm). Obviously, these two cabinets have different width. Actually, 600mm is a basic type and 800mm is the extended one. Though the GR800-series cabinet is more expensive, it is easier to maintain large wire bundles and its additional width can be used to install cable management systems inside the cabinet.  Factory Preset Rack Depth - The factory preset rack depth of GR600-series server cabinet is 750mm, which is 50mm deeper than that of GR800-series network & server cabinet.  Structure - The GR800-series network & server cabinet has bilateral brush-covered/brush strips and its equipment mounting rails have plastic cable access ports. However, GR600-series server cabinet only has unilateral brush-covered/brush strips and its equipment mounting rails have no cable access ports.  Accessories - There are vertical cable managers and 2 PDU brackets enclosed to the 42U GR800-series network & server cabinet package. As for the GR600-series server cabinet, it provides 2 PDU brackets and adjustable fixed shelves.  Application - As stated above, 42U GR600-series cabinet is a server cabinet while the GR800-series cabinet can be used as a server cabinet or a network cabinet.
