Spring compression tool to compress the spring of the MTP® and MTP®-16 connector to change the male and female.
Male Removal
4 steps to remove the male pin clamp. Also suitable for removing the female pin spacer.
Insert the connector, and secure the spring in the slot.
Compress the spring by pushing until a "click".
Bend the ferrule to expose the male pin clamp.
Grab the male pin clamp and pull away from the ferrule.
Female Installation
4 steps to install the female pin spacer. Also suitable for installing a male pin clamp.
Insert the female pin spacer into ferrule holes.
Push the pin spacer onto the ferrule boot and secure it.
Release the ferrule from a bent position.
Grab the spring-push thrust, and rotate until release.
