FS has 10G products like N5850-48S6Q that come with really good and flexible software. They are way cheaper than the top brands, and they're able to deliver the same performance and capabilities.

The upgrade procedures could be better. The upgrading of the system should be simplified and made faster. In the next release, I would like to see them maintain the stability.

For me personally, the initial setup was very straightforward. I have experience with the product so it helps. if you are a user who has the experience, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Otherwise, you will have to spend some time learning about it and how it works.

FS Switches are the best overall. We have approximately 25 customers using the solution. The technical support from FS is very good.

I'm trying currently doing an college assignment that basically consists of designing and specifying all the necessary equipments for a College Campus. It has a total of 3 buildings, one Data Center and a Data Recovery site, inside one of those buildings and fibers.
I saw that the site is very well organized, and it has lots of useful diagrams and good informations, even saying to me which modules fit or not inside a fiber patch panel, etc.
I saw a case study that looks very similar to what my group and I need to do, with a major difference inside the Data Center, where I will need to connect to some servers and a SAN, but it\'s basically the same. thanks for all this content that you have on your website, it\'s so helpful for someone who is learning all this technologies.

Our current concern is top of rack switching. The goal is to support dual switches in MLAG for all access ports, as well as MLAG to the core switches.
We have < 1k entries in the ARP tables, and less < 50 in the routing tables. I'm more concerned of feature-sets that the N series has over the S. Such as stacking, Netconf, Python, Grpc. The N5850-48S6Q in the N series switch supports the installation of third-party systems, which just meets my needs.

When I received the switch, I unpacked it and mounted it immediately in the 19" rack.
In the same 19" Rack is a virtualising server (ESXi with dual Xeon CPUs, 48 GB ram , 8 harddisks and 2 SSDs) since 2010, one big PC firewall, USV, Fritzbox, Router, DSL modem, KVM Switch, PoE Switch, Cat6 Patchpanels, EIB equipment and more mounted. I'm giving this five stars because I haven't see it do anything wrong.

We have bought a N5850-48S6Q last year without cumulus network.
I have seen in one of the comments that the bare-metal version of this switch is now delivered with FSOS, however our switch was delivered with ONIE but not any OS. I wonder "Can we get an image of FSOS? Is it possible to have at least L2 switching with FSOS?" My account manager tells me FSOS is free of charge, and it can meet my needs for the L2 switching.
