Free cloud, notifications work great and I’m pretty darn satisfied with the cost/usability balance. Sure, there are systems that are easier to use and setup – but will cost you at least double what you’d spend on the cameras and NVR, and probably have cloud access fees

I had a Network Video Recorder, 5 outdoor POE cameras, and 1 indoor Wifi camera. The camera hardware quality and camera capabilities seem great, and software, cloud, and configuration have been the best experience for me.

FS is the best choice if all you want are basic needs of an NVR (record, manage, view remotely or locally via TV, motion detection, web and mobile phone access and export recordings) and don't want to pay a lot of money for features which you don't need or want.

Remotely viewing my cameras and events, I am very happy after about 45 days with the NVR and related free software.

We have this NVR next to the TV and have all the camera cable runs isolated to the opposite side of office and run a single CAT cable to the NVR and can add more POE switches when and if needed. The NVR allows Web, Mobile Phone to connect and manage/view camera feeds, so convenient for our IT members.
