It is targeted at the IP MAN (metropolitan area network), campus networks and enterprise networks.

S5500-48T8SP supports multiple services like IPv6, VPN and network security based on L2/L3/L4 wire-speed switching service. It also supports nonstop upgrade, continuous forwarding, graceful restarting and redundancy protection. Very glad that this switch support both BGP IPv4(up to 32k) and BGP IPv6(up to 8k). And it is a viable replacement for our Brocade ICX series POE campus switches as they age out.

This switch has been used in our office for a long time, and it still works perfectly. To be honest, it was a little difficult to configure for us as I'm a new of FS switches, but the after-sales treatment was really good, they provide remote technical services, always answered, and helped patiently.
