FS BOX V4 only works with FS Transceivers & DAC/AOC Cables. It is designed to achieve multiple functions such as online configuration, diagnosing and troubleshooting, wavelength tuning for tunable transceivers, box pro, and so on. The FS BOX V4 has a built-in lithium battery and can also support Bluetooth connectivity. With its instant online platform airmodule.fs.com and a wide range of configuration choices, engineers could configure in a timely and effective way.

Please notice that HPE compatible SFP+/SFP28/XFP/QSFP+/QSFP28/QSFP-DD transceivers, all the 40G BiDi transceivers, and 25G SFP28 Loopback Module are currently not supported by FS Box to reconfigure due to hardware restriction. Any attempt may cause irreversible damage to your transceivers.

What more can I say, this turned out to be useful almost immediately. When testing a switch, I had to revert to another brand of switch to see where the configuration problem was. Instead of having to buy another cable and wait, I was able to reprogram the existing transceiver, use the other switch, figure out where the problem was, then reprogram back and fix the problem. This was in a controlled environment, I can't imagine what it would have been like in a production environment. Anyone using more than a couple of transceivers should have one of these.

Installation was a piece of cake, I was able to do the setup while doing other tasks without issue.
