40KM Passive Dispersion Compensation Pluggable Module

Dispersion Compensation Module (DCM) is designed to fix the form of optical signals that are deformed by chromatic dispersion. The module offers a high level of compensation while maintaining a low flat insertion loss. When combined with EDFA and OEO, making signals go further without regeneration.


FMT Series provides cost-effective and flexible WDM solutions. It has a variety of optical layer boards and provides excellent optical performance, and can be applied to DWDM dual-fiber/DWDM single-fiber/optical cable monitoring systems, to meet the diverse needs of scenarios.

Bought the DCM to offer fiber compensation and reduce BER for our DWDM network (about 35km). It worked smoothly with zero packets dropped. BTW, the service they provided was also amazing. Recommended.

We planned to make a 112km link, and required the power loss was about 30dB. We came to FS and asked them to design a cost-effective solution for us. These knowledgeable and professional men quickly sent us the connection diagram, and discussed with us to confirm the details. They thought a single fiber DWDM system could meet our demand. We needed to use 80km SFP+ modules to do the link. Then used EDFAs to amplify the optical signal. FS guys also advised that we’d better use the 40km DCM #65781 for dispersion compensation. Then we adopt their suggestion, and they arranged the delivery immediately. Followed their design, we installed the devices. Tested the link, zero packets dropped. And I have no questions this connection will last for a very very long time.

I thought the 80km DCM may suit our DWDM network. But its interface was FC would be better. The AM said we could choose customized service. Then we ordered one with FC connector. The product arrived without any breakage.
