Use Web User Interface to Manage Network Switches

Use Web User Interface to Manage Network Switches

FS Official Oct 11, 2018

This video introduces what functions that the Web user interface (Web UI) can realize to help users manage network switches. Take FS S5850-32S2Q 10GE switch as an example, the functions shown contains VLAN configuration, mirror configuration, STP, IP routing, SNMP, ERPS configuration, etc. All of them are necessary to manage network switches in a system.

After entering the Web UI, users can read or manage many aspects of the switch, such as viewing the port usage of the switch, the hardware and software version, the MAC address, the working status of the fans, etc. Through Web UI, users can add/delete VLAN, change port mode, configure STP work mode and do many other configurations.

It should be noticed that before entering the Web UI, we should first activate the Web function in the CLI interface, then we can log in the Web user interface with the destination address and enter the management page with username and password. For how to activate the Web function in CLI interface, you can watch the video How to Enable CLI (Command-Line) & Web Interface on Network Switches.

The FS S5850-32S2Q is a data center 10G Ethernet switch that has 32 10G SFP+ ports and 2 40G QSFP+ ports. It is a low-latency L2/L3 Ethernet switch and can play a good role in a spine-leaf network structure. Support lots of advanced features, such as MLAG, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, SFLOW, SNMP etc, S5850-32S2Q is ideal for traditional or fully virtualized data centers.
