The 400GBASE-SR8 module supports link lengths of up to 100m over multimode fiber (MMF) with MTP/MPO-16 connector. It is compliant to IEEE 802.3bs protocol and 400GAUI-8/CEI-56G-VSR-PAM4 standard. The 400 Gigabit Ethernet signal is carried over eight wavelengths. Multiplexing and demultiplexing of the eight wavelengths are managed within the device.

We wanted a higher speed network system and planned a 400G upgrade and needed to choose some transceivers, we didn't need a long transmission distance, so this type was just right for us. At first, we were concerned that these modules might not be a good match for our Arista switches. However, they proved to have excellent connectivity, and all metrics were within normal limits. would recommend:-

I hadn't bought a 400G module before and was initially worried that it wouldn't work well. When it arrived I plugged it into my device and unexpectedly found it to be very fast and stable at the same time, and I had the FEC function on to keep my information error-free... Good!

Had cooperation with FS a couple of years ago, but mainly for our 10G network deployment at that time. The reason why I picked FS was, probably, cost-effective. Haven't expected that I could also rely on FS for our high-speed transmission this time. It turned out that FS also kept making progress. The introduction of these 400G modules and MTP cables that worked flawlessly on our Cisco switches made our 400G direct connection smoothly.
