Dispersion Compensation Module (DCM) is designed to fix the form of optical signals that are deformed by chromatic dispersion. The main constituent of DCM is DCF (Dispersion Compensation Fiber) with a negative chromatic dispersion value within the wavelength range in the C-Band (1525nm to 1565nm). It is designed for maximum configuration flexibility, with pluggable modules that plug directly into the FMT managed chassis, each module occupying two slots. In addition, this module offers a high level of compensation while maintaining a low flat insertion loss. When combined with EDFA and OEO, making signals go further without regeneration.
This module can facilitate an integrated cost-effective and flexible optical layer solution by incorporating a variety of optical layer boards, such as OEO/EDFA/MUX/OSW/OLP/R/B, and can be applied to DWDM dual-fibre/DWDM single-fibre/optical cable monitoring systems, to meet the diverse needs of scenarios.
