Need 40km modules but have been told that the transmission distance of 25G WDM can only reach 10km due to dispersion. Is that true?

No, that's not true. LWDM supports up to 40km transmission. It works at O Band(1269nm-1332nm) and is less likely to be influenced by dispersion. by T***. on 21/11/2021
