Will this be able to be mounted on the sides of my 45U 19" rack to help with cable management rather then in the front or back?

Not without creating your own mounts with bits from home depot, and your 45U is not an enclosed rack (meaning, it has to be a 2-post) . If it is a 2-post, you are better off searching vertical cable management (duct or D-Ring). If it is an enclosure, you just use velcro straps, d-rings or zip ties to manage horizontal cable, since nobody sees it with the sides on. by B***r on 12/01/2022
