S5870-48T6BC is a next-generation Layer 3 switch that delivers high performance and versatility for modern campus networks. Equipped with a Broadcom chipset, it offers 176 Gbps of switching capacity and 132 Mpps of forwarding performance, with 48x Gigabit ports, 4x 25Gb SFP28, and 2x 100Gb QSFP28 Uplinks, ensuring high-density access and non-blocking transmission. Running on PicOS® with a perpetual licence, it supports OpenFlow, MLAG, BGP, OSPF, and EVPN-VXLAN without requiring additional licences and includes five years of hardware and software support.
This switch is managed by the AmpCon-Campus management platform, which offers automated Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), real-time telemetry monitoring, topology auto-discovery, and end-to-end lifecycle management from Day 0 to Day 2. With AmpCon-Campus, the PicOS® enterprise switches can be onboarded, configured, and managed effortlessly and seamlessly. Therefore, S5870-48T6BC is well-suited for various industries, including network service providers (ISPs), telecommunications operators, retail, sports, and entertainment, providing a more resilient, programmable, and scalable network.
