8 Channels CWDM Mux Demux, 1270-1450nm (Skip 1390, 1410nm), with Monitor and Expansion Port, 2.0dB Typical IL, LC/UPC, Dual Fiber, High Density, FHD® Plug-in Module

The 8CH Mux Demux, based on Free Space technology, is a passive CWDM device featuring high density, low loss, and short-haul transmission suitability. It is integrated with a monitor port and an expansion port. The 1% monitor port allows easy troubleshooting without downtime and the expansion port supports expanding the capacity of existing fibre infrastructure. Inaddition, this unit can act as either a multiplexer or de-multiplexer (Mux/Demux). It combines 8-channel of CWDM wavelengths into a composite signal and separates the combined CWDM signal into 8-channel individual wavelengths over a pair of single-mode optical fibre. In accordance with the ITU-T G.694.2, it maximises the capacity of the C-band range. Designed for maximum configuration flexibility, the CWDM Mux Demux can plug directly into the FHD® chassis, each module occupying one slot.

It supports 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 16/8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel, FTTx and CATV. When deployed with FS CWDM optical transceivers, OEO and OADM modules, it seamlessly enables flexible network architectures ranging from simple point-to-point connections to amplified ring configurations.

Diversified Ports for 8 Channels CWDM Mux Demux

The 1270nm-1450nm channel port for ITU grid CWDM traffic, EXP port for service expansion, MON port for optical performance monitoring.

Signal Multiplexing and Demultiplexing in Fiber Optic Communications

The CWDM Mux Demux integrates both multiplexing (Mux) and demultiplexing (Demux) functions. The Mux combines optical signals of different wavelengths at the transmitting end and couples them into a single fibre for transmission. The Demux separates the multi-wavelength signals at the receiving end, essentially performing the reverse process of the Mux.

Mix of Services Multiplexing at Any Rate
Flexible mix of 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 16/8/4/2/1G FC, FTTx and CATV, it's transparent to any rate, any service multiplexing and upgrade.

Monitor Port for Your Diversified Monitoring Needs

Usually, at a split of 1% (2%, 3%, 5% optional), the monitor port offers flexible monitoring ways to test the power, wavelength and OSNR of the optical signal without service interruption.

Expansion without Service Interruption

Expansion port can be used to connect another CWDM MUX DEMUX for wavelength expansion.

Higher Density Design to Meet Diversified Needs

The high-density FHD® chassis supports flexible configurations with full capacity for DWDM Mux Demux, CWDM Mux Demux modules in FHD® packages, FAP and MTP cassettes. This design meets diverse network requirements while ensuring reliable wavelength multiplexing in a space-optimised solution.

CWDM Point-to-point Access Networking Solution

CWDM is suitable for ISPs, carriers, enterprises and other scenarios. Through CWDM technology, multiple wavelengths are multiplexed on a single fibre to achieve high-speed, high-capacity data transmission between sites, significantly saving fibre resources and reducing deployment costs.
