it's great you'll be cooperating directly with Edge-core on Sonic for 400G switches.
Generally our plan is to test 400G Edge-core switch with our current infrastructure(chiefly 100G). The problem connecting 400G switches with 'old' 100G is that 400G technology depends on PAM4 modulation and old 100G/10G/1G switches they all are using NRZ modulation.

Recently, our company was ready for upgrading the network into 400G. We were looking for some core network switches to be deployed on the data center. We cared more about the number of ports and switching capacity of the switches. All right, we found the 32-port L3 network switch with 25.6 Tbps switching capacity was very nice and bought one for testing.

After receiving the package, what made me most impressed about this product was that it had a very metal housing. We tested the transmission rate, packet loss rate, forwarding rate and so on, it performed extremely well which exceeded our expectations. So we bought more switches to be deployed on our network. All worked reasonably well. Highly recommended.

We have been looking for 400G switches that can support 40G, 100G and 400G for a long time. We are told that FS can provide what we need, so I came here and ordered two. But note that it is a bare-metal switch so you should additionally buy the software system or develop by yourself.

Bought these 400G network switches for our data center to build a spine-leaf topology. Configured them with the guide of the handbook pdf provided and with up to 32 ports which fully suits our needs. Port speed also worked well. This switch saved us a lot of headaches and gave us a bit of room to grow. Definitely recommended.

I really like FS products for their stability and dependability. It worked without a problem with the FS 400GBASE-SR8 QSFP-DD.

The switch itself has a very sturdy metal housing with 32 ports each supporting 400Gbit in bandwidth. The simplicity of switches has not changed however. I had this rack-mounted to upgrade the backbone of my network, which worked reasonably well.
