Works like a charm in a Ubiquiti UDW in combination with a KPN internet connection. Simple installation, no extra drivers needed. Setup of the ubiquity SFP WAN port, just make sure to setup 1GBPS FDX as fixed (not auto).

Works great!
In hindsight I should have gone for the 'Generic' variant and fill in the 'Device Number' field. I did both at some point, but then press 'Add to cart' on a different tab I guess...
Nancy confirmed there would be no compatibility problems in advance with my Unifi Dream Machine - Special Edition (Ubiquiti UDM-SE), and had to deal with me not noticing certain questions the first time around... Thanks Nancy!
Leaving some breadcrumbs for others in my situation:
My ISP is Freedom Internet via KPN NetwerkNL. (WBA: KPN Wholesale)
For ipv6 to work the mtu on the ppp0 interface of the UDM-SE must be 1500, not 1492. You can not configure this via any GUI, be prepared to ssh into it and do it yourself: https://community.ui.com/questions/Feature-Request-UDM-Pro-PPPoE-RFC4638-1500-MTU-MRU-for-PPP/b5c1fcf6-bee5-4fc7-ae00-c8ce2bf2e724#answer/e1c5e332-97e9-4504-9987-945ec28a57a4
Definetely worth the money since not renting a modem-router saves me 2 euro a month!

I was skeptical at first about buying a SFP module, but I'm glad I took the plunge. The module is well-built and performs like a champ. I've noticed faster data transfer speeds and less latency on my network.
