FEC (Forward Error Correction) is an error correction technique todetect and correct a limited number of errors in transmitted data without the need for retransmission. It works by adding redundant bits to a bitstream to help the decoder odetect and correct some transmission errors without the need for retransmission. This function needs to be turned on by the transmission device.

Hello, this module is four channels, each channel 10G rate, the device is to support port splitting, you need to port splitting on the switch

Cisco Nexus N5K-C5648Q has 40G QSFP ports and the ports support splitting (40G - 4x10G), you can use QSFP-CSR4-40G module with it; the other end of the device is Sophos XGS 4500 firewall with 10G SFP+ ports, you need to use OM4 MPO-Breakout cable, 1x MPO female - 4x LC duplex auf 4 x 10G, so #11552 is recommended. thanks
