Yes, they can be used in OM1/2 applications but have longer distances and lower loss. By the way, if you have other choices, you'd better not connect OM1 to other multimode patch cords with adapter products.

The PC connector has been replaced by the UPC connector. UPC is an improvement of the PC fiber connector with a better surface finish after an extended polishing and the optical return loss is higher than PC structure. No, this cable can only be used indoors. If used outdoors, it may be damaged quickly and the signal transmission will be affected as well. I recommend the industrial fiber patch cable.
