A:

Compatibility can be modified to other brands using FS BOX. However, the wavelength cannot be altered, as the wavelength of a BiDi module is physically determined by its internal laser and optical filter hardware, and cannot be modified through software.

Q:
Should I buy both -U &-D models?

by H***z on 03/06/2024

A:

Sure, Bidi Transceiver used to be in pairs, such as a Cisco Compatible SFP-10G23-BX10-I device is always connected to a SFP-10G32-BX10-I device with a single strand of standard SMF.

A:

The primary difference from traditional duplex optical modules is that the BiDi optical module operates as a simplex module allowing the customer to double the utilization of the existing fiber. Besides, bidirectional transceiver doubles the amount of network equipment that can be attached to the same set of 4 fibers, compared to regular transceivers.

Hello, if your device has 10G ports, you can choose Generic compatible. Please note that the BIDI module needs to be used in pairs. When using long-distance modules (40 kilometers and above) for short distances, it is necessary to use attenuators together to avoid damaging the modules.

Hello, the two modules are different in form factor, but they can be used together as long as the rates and transmission distances are the same. The XFP-10G-BX 1330nm-TX/1270nm-RX can be uesd with the SFP-10G-BX 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX.
