What does the last L stand for in LRL ? LR stands for Long Range. The M in LRM stands for Multimode. So what does the L stand for in LRL? This is not an offical standard term as far as I can determine.

LR: refers to Long Range, and long range generally refers to 10km ER: refers to Extended Range, transmission up to 40km LRL: refers to Long Range Lite, means a maximum transmission distance of 2km There are also other manufacturers on the market using the LRL naming, and different vendors may have different naming conventions.

No, this module can not be used with Multimode fiber, you can choose OS2 Single Mode fiber #40191.
