Q:
What are the differences between SFTP and FUTP?
by D***d on 05/06/2023
A:
S/UTP (Shielded/Screened) Unshielded Twisted Pair and F/UTP (Foiled Unshielded Twisted Pair) have either a complete foil or complete braid screen encasement around all 4 unshielded twisted pairs. SFTP, or Shielded and Foiled Twisted Pair, is a mix between S/UTP and F/UTP.

Q:
A:
Hello, UTP and SFTP are only based on your overall needs. If you want to transmit signals without interference, you need SFTP to write the system. If there is no requirement, just use UTP.

Q:
Can i use these instead of cat 5 cables?
by C***t on 05/05/2023
A:
Yes, I have tried it and works well. Cat6a cables are both backwards compatible, which means newer Cat6a cables can be used with older Cat5e.
