They use a heat-shrink tube with a strength member to encapsulate the splice. When heated, the sleeve shrinks to secure the fiber and protect the splice from stress, dust, and moisture.

The inner tube diameter is 2.2mm. If the fiber's diameter is lower than 2.2mm, it can be used with #13662. So, the 250-micron SM fiber can work with #13662 normally.

All the splice sleeves are available. When fusing, the fiber is stripped to 0.9mm. The diameter of the splice protection sleeves here is greater than this value, so all the them is ok.
