GND is the symbol for signal and supply (power) common for QSFP modules. All are common within the QSFP module and all module voltages are referenced to this potential unless otherwise noted. Connect these directly to the host board signal common ground plane. 2. VccRx, Vcc1 and VccTx are the receiver and transmitter power suppliers and shall be applied concurrently. Recommended host board power supply filtering is shown below. Vcc Rx, Vcc1 and Vcc Tx may be internally connected within the QSFP transceiver module in any combination. The connector pins are each rated for a maximum current of 1000mA. image.png III. Pull ups can be connected to one of several power supplies, however the host board design shall ensure that no module contact has voltage exceeding module VccT/R + 0.5 V. *5 Tx_Disable is an input contact with a 4.7 kOhms to 10 kOhms pullup to VccT inside the module. *6 See 5.2 (SFF-8419) *7 See 4.1.4(SFF-8419) *8 For SFF-8431 rate select definition see 4.1.3 and 4.2. Installation Caution: Follow accepted ESD practices when handling QSFP+ connectors to prevent damage to the internal components within theconnector. ESD (electrostatic discharge) is the sudden flow of electricity between two objects at different voltage potentials causedby contact. Thebasis of any ESD protection strategy is to ground or bring all elements in the ESD protected area to the same potential. AnESDwriststrap should be used for everything in the ESD protected area including personnel, tools, cabinets and components. A. Installing QSFP+ Modules Follow these steps to install a FS.COM QSFP+ cable assembly: Step 1. Remove the protective ESD cap from the connector. Step 2. Slide the QSFP+ cable end into the slot until it locks into position (see figure 1). There is an audible click when the connector is properly seated. image.png Caution : The latching mechanism locks the SFP+ connector into place when cables are connected. Do not pull on the cable in an attempt to remove the QSFP+connector. B.Removing QSFP+ Modules Follow these steps to remove a FS.COMQSFP+cable assembly: Step 1. Pull on the QSFP+latch pull lanyard. Seefigure 2. Step 2. Graspthe QSFP+connector on both sides and remove it from the system.Seefigure 3. Step 3. If possible, replace the ESDprotective cap or put the QSFP+into an ESDprotected bag. Test Center FS.COM transceivers are tested to ensure connectivity and compatibility in our test center before shipped out. FS.COM test center is supported by a variety of mainstream original brand switches and groups of professional staff, helping our customers make the most efficient use of our products in their systems, network designs and deployments. The original switches could be found nowhere but at FS.COM test center, eg: Juniper MX960 & EX4300 series, Cisco Nexus 9396PX & CiscoASR9000Series,HP5900 Series&HP5406RZL2V3(J9996A), Arista 7050S-64, Brocade ICX7750-26Q &ICX6610-48, Avaya VSP7000 MDA2, etc. image.png Test Assured Program FS.COM truly understands the value of compatibility and interoperability to each optics. Every module FS.COM provides must run through programming and an extensive series of platform diagnostic tests to prove its performance and compatibility. In our test center, we care of every detail from staff to facilities—professionally trained staff, advanced test facilities and comprehensive original-brand switches, to ensure our customers to receive the optics with superior quality. image.png Order Information Part Number Data Rate Length Wire Gauge Connector Type Temp.
