Found the switch was loaded with a Cumulus Linux operating system with which our tech team was familiar, which was what we exactly needed. No hesitation for placing the order and the whole shopping experience was really nice. The AM responded to me very quickly with patience. The price and feature set were amazing. You got a nice set of layer 3 features and could easily figure it out with the help of the FS technical team. We could say that bang for the buck, this switch had all the features your standard data center setup would need, such as VXLAN, MLAG, QINQ and so on.

We've had this switch installed for two weeks now at our data center, it was going strong and performed very well. BTW, the 1.44Tbps switching capacity accelerated our data processing speed greatly. Helped up a lot. Thanks FS for an awesome network switch.

I'm going to give this 5 stars because the network switch seems like a quality product, but it charges for the operating system separately-- but it's my fault for not doing more research beforehand. It does support ONIE, and the operating system they offer is cumulus OS.

The details are far more than great. The Broadcom chip is much preferred and reassures us. It works great and supports many functions we need such as MLAG, VXLAN. We wish it to work stably enough. So far, it performs very well. The redundant power supplies and fans make sure our business doesn't stop. Anyway, all help us a lot.

This 40G switch is a good choice. Its OS is quite reliable. It's very handy for us. We use their N series switches to build a 10G-40G network structure. The system now delivers data efficiently. I find FS solutions are becoming more and more trustworthy. We are willing to continue our buying from them.

As a cloud service provider, we are working on a fiber project quotation that we hope to win this summer. We bought enormous fiber patch cables here several days ago, it was a very nice shopping experience. So we decided to choose FS again. We need to buy some Layer 3 switches with some advanced features, like MLAG, VxLAN, SNMP etc, which have 10G ports with 40G uplinks. We consulted our account manager and he recommended this N5850-48S6Q switch for us with Cumulus operating system, which fully suits our needs. Then we bought five network switches at FS and they were shipped in a protective box with no damage or scratches. Currently, the switches have been working with our network for nearly three months without any issues. Very nice switches!

A very nice network switch with the Cumulus Linux network operating system which our engineers had already got familiar with for our network upgrades from 40G network to 80G network. The switches have been working on our networks for a long time without a reboot. Our overall experience with their switches has been very positive and we really appreciate them putting the data center level equipment in our hands so affordably.

Two N8000-32Q at the core link downwards to two N5850-48S6Q. The bottom are 16 S3900-48T4S switches connecting end devices like PC. MLAG function enables the core layer and distribution layer network to achieve complete redundancy of links, so as to avoid the single point of failure of core/distribution equipment which may lead to the paralysis of the data center network. We are all very satisfied with the solution. The price is unbeatable for the features and durability.

We found the FS was included in the Cumulus hardware compatibility list, got FS N8000-32Q & N5850-48S6Q which are loaded with Cumulus Linux. And QSFP-40G-SR-BD transceiver, CVR-QSFP-SFP10G 40G QSFP+ to 10G SFP+ adapter converter module worked well on the switches.

We were working on a big fiber project and looking over FS for more than just fiber this time. I am looking over some Layer 3 switches that have 10G ports and 40G uplinks. And this Cumulus switch that they offer supports everything I am looking for: VRF, VXLAN, etc. I'm glad I took the chance based on the quality, because the value seems unbeatable for this line.

We needed a 10gb switches to use for hosts in an virtual environment and they happened to have. It's been on 24/7 for years. I get wonderful network speeds and stable fiber links. Would definitely recommend it.
