We are seeking for some cost-effective SFP+ CWDM modules for our project to support 35km transmission. I've found that one CWDM case from FS Twitter has a similar situation with our current project. Since the network solution that they design for that case is pretty nice, I tried to consult with the AM to get some advice. The FS technical team helped us to check our link plan and even revise some details in our existing diagram, like calculating the fiber loss and confirming the modules' compatibility. Considering the financial cost, we gave up the transceivers from the original brand and decided to pick third-party transceivers from a reliable supplier. One of our friends recommended FS to us, and we found that the merchandise is fairly priced. Therefore, we bought 40 pcs of the 10G optical transceivers. Compatibility used to be our biggest concern. However, these modules are fully compatible with our Cisco switches and have been working perfectly without any problems till now. No complaints whatsoever.
