OLP-Optical Line Protection is a product that is used in the protection of network transmission line, the product can realize optical power monitoring and automatic switching. In optical communication network, OLP real-time monitoring optical power of working optical fiber and standby optical fiber.
OLP need to be used together with Splitter to compose BIDI OLP. The working mode of BIDI is dual transmitting and selective receiving. Optical line protection is realized by ways of bidirectional transmission over single optical fiber. It is mainly applicable to scenarios when there are limited amount optical fiber resources.
