8 Channels DWDM Mux Demux, 100GHz C53-C60, with Monitor, Expansion and 1310nm Port, 3.0dB Typical IL, LC/UPC, Dual Fiber, FMU Plug-in Module

The 8CH Mux Demux, based on TFF (Thin Film Filter), is a passive DWDM device featuring high density, low loss, and long-haul transmission suitability. It is integrated with a monitor port and an expansion port. The 1% monitor port allows easy troubleshooting without downtime and the expansion port can be used to add additional channels, providing a cost-effective and easily expandable solution. In addition, this unit can act as either a multiplexer or de-multiplexer (Mux/Demux). It combines 8-channel of DWDM wavelengths into a composite signal and separates the combined DWDM signal into 8-channel individual wavelengths over a pair of single-mode optical fiber. In accordance with the ITU-T G.694.2, it maximizes the capacity of the C-band range. Designed for maximum configuration flexibility, the DWDM Mux Demux can plug directly into the FMU chassis, each module occupying one slot.

It supports 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 16/8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel, FTTx and CATV. When deployed with FS DWDM optical transceivers, OEO, EDFA and OADM modules, the Mux Demux seamlessly enables flexible network architectures ranging from simple point-to-point connections to amplified ring configurations.

Diversified Ports for 8 Channels DWDM Mux Demux

The C53-C60 channel port for ITU grid DWDM traffic. Line port for multiplexed signal transmission. 1310nm port for 1G/10G/40G/100G/400G legacy traffic, EXP port for service expansion.

Signal Multiplexing and Demultiplexing in Fiber Optic Communications

The DWDM Mux Demux integrates both multiplexing (Mux) and demultiplexing (Demux) functions. The Mux combines optical signals of different wavelengths at the transmitting end and couples them into a single fiber for transmission. The Demux separates the multi-wavelength signals at the receiving end, essentially performing the reverse process of the Mux.

Mix of Services Multiplexing at Any Rate
Flexible mix of 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 16/8/4/2/1G FC, FTTx and CATV, it's transparent to any rate, any service multiplexing and upgrade.

Monitor Port for Your Diversified Monitoring Needs

Usually at a split of 1% (2%, 3%, 5% optional), the monitor port offers flexible monitoring ways to test the power, wavelength and OSNR of the optical signal without service interruption.

Expansion without Service Interruption

The EXP port supports future upgrades by adding more DWDM wavelengths to increase network capacity without disruption. The 1310nm port can accommodate legacy traffic or serves as a dedicated channel for compatibility with existing infrastructure.

Higher Density Design to Meet Diversified Needs

The high-density FMU chassis supports flexible configurations with full capacity for 2 DWDM Mux Demux, CWDM Mux Demux or LWDM Mux Demux modules with different channels in FMU packages. This design meets diverse network requirements while ensuring reliable wavelength multiplexing in a space-optimized solution.

Data Center Interconnect for DWDM Network

Mux Demux interconnect seamlessly with transponder, muxponder, and third-party WDM products, to form cost-effective high-capacity DWDM tailored solutions.
