With the feature of medium to low input power, medium output power, and medium gain, the pre-amplifier operates at the receiving end of an optical link to compensate for losses in a demultiplexer located near the optical receiver.

If I add an EDFA on my Mux Demux link, can I still use the 1310nm port?

I am afraid not, the EDFA doesn't support 1310nm so the signal can't pass through

Got this PA-EDFA with their dispersion compensation modules for our long-haul DWDM transmission. It works great on our single fiber link. The loss is within our expected range and the optical signals transmitted and received are stable. Using these devices helped us to save many fibers and other fees. Will consider other products again.
