The FMT series booster amplifier is a low-noise, gain-flattened C-band optical erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) designed to cost-effectively extend the optical link power budget for building long-distance DWDM solutions.It amplifies a range of optical solutions starting from a single wavelength to full ITU C-Band 40 DWDM wavelength, and can be highly integrated with FMT series WDM platforms and DCM/OLP/R&B modules.


FMT Series provides cost-effective and flexible WDM solutions. It has a variety of optical layer boards, provides excellent optical performance, and can be applied to DWDM dual-fiber/DWDM single-fiber/optical cable monitoring systems, to meet the diverse needs of scenarios.

Got this PA-EDFA with their dispersion compensation modules for our long-haul DWDM transmission. It works great on our single fiber link. The loss is within our expected range and the optical signals transmitted and received are stable. Using these devices helped us to save many fibers and other fees. Will consider other products again.

We were interested in the EDFA but wondered whether the EDFA could work with our 200G DWDM module from another vendor, so we contacted the FS tech team for confirmation. They checked the datasheet of our module and assured us that the EDFA could work with the 200G module. Then they asked us about the optical loss of the whole link and recommended the 17dBm EDFA to ensure our power budget. The guys told us, we also needed an FMT chassis #39214 to install and manage the EDFA. At last, we bought two EDFAs and chassis. The chassis suit our 19-inch rack, and deployed EDFAs in our system, the 200G modules worked normally.
