If you want to connect two cassettes via an MTP® trunk cable (Type A polarity), the Type A and Type AF cassettes are recommended to be used as a pair to ensure the connection, the transmission of the signal will be P2 in and P1 out. They're only different in package style, but the cables sequence and interface of the model are the same.
