I am confused by the previous Q&A. LRM historically has meant Long-Reach Multimode. It appears that we are saying the LRM2 is purely for SM cable use. If that is the case, why would we not simply utilize the optic made for SM and that has better distances, 10G-LR? I am really not sure the usefulness of this product if it is indeed cable designed for SM fiber use By P***e on 04/05/2019

Sorry for the late reply, this module is indeed designed for 2km transmission of single mode fiber, but 10km can also be used for 2km applications, and if you care about more precise transmission distance, you can choose LRM2 this module.
