Our router is upstairs and the main TV is downstairs in the living room. The WiFi was NOT doing well as far as video signal imagry or stability, so we wanted a hardwire connection. We installed a wall plate with a double female RJ45 connector in the router room and one behind the TV. We then ran this 100' cable between those two jacks behind the walls and through the ceiling.
The end result is a perfect and stable TV image regardless of the weather! The cable was long enough with plenty of spare slack so installation was easier than it could have been!
