PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitters are Single Mode Splitters with an even split ratio from one input fiber to multiple output fibers. It is based on planar lightwave circuit technology and provides a low cost light distribution solution with small form factor and high reliability. FS.COM provides a various of 1×N and 2×N PLC splitters, including 1×2 to 1×64 and 2×2 to 2×64 1U Rack Mount type fiber PLC splitters. They are all with superior optical performance, high stability and high reliability to meet various application requirements.

Can the PLC splitter be used with the BIDI transceiver? By G***n on 11/19/2019

A:
No, because the BIDI transceiver transmits two different wavelength signals in the same fiber through WDM wavelength division multiplexing, it is impossible to receive the collected light in a centralized manner by using TDMA time division multiple access. I have a question regarding PLC splitter. Is there any way to make it bi-directional, if you shine light into fiber 4, you will see any light out of the IN fiber? By B***e on 03/25/2018

A:
Hi, PLC splitter is generally used in PON network, if you use it in PON network, then it can meet your requirement, but if not, it can not achieve the bi-directional transmission. Because if multiple transceivers in the same wavelength from fiber 4 transmit signals to the IN fiber transceiver, then this transceiver cannot distinguish the signals. And PON network adopts Time division multiplexing technology, so the transceiver can distinguish the signals from different transceivers. By D***s on 03/25/2018

No, it doesn't. Our PLC splitters only support singlemode application, and the fiber type is G657A1, if you want multimode splitters, please refer to FBT Coupler Splitter #65801 By E***n on 03/25/2018
