The M6200 series OLP is an optical line protection switch, which main function is perform a real-time monitoring on the state of the signals in the main and standby fiber core optical path.

It adopts the mode of dual transmitting and selective receiving. It is widely used in Optical Line Protection System like PDH, SDH system, C/DWDM system, electric telecommunication exclusive net as well as CATV optical net.

What kind of management/notification would we have to be notified if one fiber path fails?

A:

When one of the links is broken or the loss value increases unexpectedly, the OLP device will switch the active link to the line in good condition within <15ms. If the customer has installed the Monitor Online software of FMT series, the real-time alarm information can be received through the management software, and the email alarm can also be set to receive information through email.
