FS.COM Adds New Members to QSFP28 Family

May 3rd, Shenzhen, FS.COM News – 100GBASE QSFP28 series products, one of the concerns in 2016 OFC (optical fiber communication conference), now are all available in FS.COM. Among this series of products, 100GBASE-LR4 and 100GBASE-SR4 QSFP28 transceiver modules were officially launched earlier this year. This time, several new members of QSFP28 family are officially added to FS.COM, including: 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 DAC and 100G QSFP28 to 4 SFP28 DAC.

Since the announcement of the 100G QSFP28 standard, the road for 100G migration has been greatly widened. The method to reach 100G is no longer limited to superposition of 10 lanes with each supporting 10G. QSFP28, adopting 4*25G transmission mode, opens up a competitive road to reach 100G and draws the attention of the industry. Meanwhile, FS.COM, one of the pioneers to 100G solutions, has been focusing on the R&D of QSFP28 series products. The two QSFP28 direct attach cables, aiming at 4*25G applications for short transmission distances.

100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 is a length of passive direct attach twinax cable with a QSFP28 module on each end, which is a cost effective solution for 4*25G transmission up to 5 meters. 100G QSFP28 to 4*25G SFP28 is a fanout passive DAC which achieves 100G to four 25G transmission up to 5 meters, with one QSFP28 module attached on one end and four legs attached with SFP28 modules on the other end.

The QSFP28 series products are now only available in limited vendors, because of the technical and cost problems. Except QSFP28 techniques breakout to ensure the quality and performance, we have scientifically reduced the manufacture costs to provide customers with the most favorable prices.
